EMT Refresher
20-Hour NREMT Refresher Course
Get back in the game. Get hands-on. Get ready for NREMT retesting.
Our 20-Hour NREMT Refresher Course is designed for EMS providers who learn best by doing—not just sitting and listening. This instructor-led, in-person course provides an active learning environment where participants can review critical concepts, work through realistic EMS scenarios, practice clinical skills, and apply knowledge in a classroom built around kinetic and experiential learning.
Rather than simply reviewing a textbook or watching hours of online content, students will participate, practice, problem-solve, and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination.
The course provides a focused review of key EMS content areas, including airway and respiration, cardiology and resuscitation, trauma, medical emergencies, obstetrics and pediatrics, EMS operations, and patient assessment/clinical decision-making. Scenario-based instruction and hands-on activities are incorporated throughout the course to help students connect classroom knowledge to real-world patient care.
Designed for EMS providers pursuing NREMT retesting, this refresher is structured to meet applicable NREMT continuing education/refresher requirements. Students should verify their individual eligibility, certification status, and any additional requirements directly with NREMT before registering.
What You Can Expect
20 hours of instructor-led, in-person instruction
Hands-on and scenario-based learning
Practical application of EMS knowledge and skills
Focused NREMT examination preparation
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making exercises
Review of high-yield EMS concepts and common knowledge gaps
Interactive discussion with experienced EMS instructors
An active learning environment designed for kinetic learners
Documentation of completed education for applicable NREMT requirements
Stop studying passively. Start training actively.
If you're preparing to retest with NREMT, this course is built to put you on your feet, in the scenario, and back in the mindset of an EMS provider.
